Internships and thesis projects

Do your internship or thesis at Plastilose.

Studying microbiology, biotechnology or engineering? At Plastilose you help develop the medicine cup made of bacterial cellulose, with our team at Biotech Campus Delft.

What kind of internships

Internships and thesis projects with us.

We supervise internships and bachelor and master projects from universities and universities of applied sciences. For example in these areas:

  • Microbiology and biotechnology

Growing, measuring and understanding what the bacteria do. You work in the lab and set up your own experiments.

  • Biomaterials

Studying the structure and properties of the material, for example with microscopy and image analysis.

  • Engineering and scale-up

Designing, building and improving the systems around production. From prototype to a process that also works at a larger scale.

  • Thesis projects

A bachelor or master project on biomaterials, bioprocesses, product development or scale-up, with your own research question.

What you learn here

You work on real questions.

  • From lab to production

You see how research becomes a product and how we scale up a process.

  • Working in a start-up

Science, engineering and business sit together in one small team.

  • Real responsibility

You get your own assignment. What you find out helps move the technology and the product forward.

  • At Biotech Campus Delft

You work among labs, start-ups and researchers building new biotechnology.
