Internships

Help build the material that replaces fossil plastics.

At Plastilose you will not work on a purely theoretical project. You will work on technology that actually ends up in hospitals. As an intern you become part of the team and help build a new generation of sustainable materials.

What you will learn.

From lab to real production

See how scientific research is translated into scalable products and industrial processes.

Working in a deeptech startup

You will work in a small team where science, engineering and entrepreneurship come together.

Real responsibility

You will work on a project that directly contributes to our technology and product development.

Located at the Biotech Campus Delft

Work in an environment with labs, startups and researchers building the next generation of biotechnology.

Internship opportunities.

We offer internships for students interested in sustainable materials, microbiology, nanobiology, product development and production systems.

Morphology Characterisation Internship

On site in Delft. 4 to 6 months.

Investigate how different bacterial strains influence the structural properties of bacterial cellulose. You will work with electron microscopy (SEM/TEM), image analysis and mathematical models, and summarise your findings in a manuscript-level report.

Nanobiology View internship

Engineering Internship

On site in Delft. 4 to 6 months.

Help design, build and improve systems around our production technology. You will work on prototyping, scaling and translating lab results into robust and maintainable processes.

Microbiology Internship

On site in Delft. 4 to 6 months.

Contribute to optimizing microbial processes for producing bacterial cellulose. You will work on experiments, culture conditions, data analysis and the biological foundation of our material platform.

Do you see a strong match but your exact field is not listed? Send your CV and a short motivation to careers@plastilose.nl .
